Jon & Emily:: Edinburgh USA Wedding

When Jon suggested they sneak candy into a comedy club on their second date, Emily (a candy fenaic) was smitten and knew Jon could be the one. He made her laugh, shared her love for their fur babies, and share the same sense of humor. It was a perfect match and once the two began dating, they both knew that there was no one else they wanted to be with.

One fall night after work, Jon suggested they take their dogs out for a walk. Tired and in sweats, Emily agreed and once the two started walking, Emily sensed something was up with Jon, but continued to get distracted when one of their three dogs would “do their business”. Finally as they neared the end of their walk, Jon pulled her around and got down on one knee. Stunned, and excited Emily said yes, but just at the same time another dog walked by and their German shepherd got so excited and tried to run after the other dog. He yanked Jon off his knee and the ring went flying into the grass. The two other dogs thought it was food and tried to eat the ring. In the excitement, Jon scrambled to rescue the ring and shoved it on Emily’s finger. They both were so excited they ran the rest of the way home joyfully celebrating.

Their November wedding day was filled with friends and family who joyfully celebrated with them at Edinburgh Golf Course in Minneapolis. Emily’s elegant long sleeve Mori Lee lace gown from the Wedding Shoppe was paired perfectly with the elegant black dresses her bridesmaids wore from Diamond Bride. The fall blooms from I Do Florals were a perfect pop of color against the dresses. Natassja Larkin from CaJah Salon created the most romantic updo for Emily, while make-up artist Merry White from Salon Junallo added to Emily’s natural beauty. Shane Co. provided the most beautiful solitaire and setting for Emily’s ring as well as added more bling with her stackable bands. John and his groomsmen wore black suits and shirts from Macy’s with a pop of red in their ties. Vista Print created the invitations and stationary while Buttercream brought in the most amazing cake. Guests energetically danced the night away with music from Instant Request and there was even a moment where I thought Michael Jackson might have reappeared 🙂 .

Emily and Jon, congratulations again. You are one amazing couple and team. You make everyone feel as if they are seeing a lifelong friend even if they are meeting you for the first time. You are kind, caring and extremely fun to be with!! Thank you for including me on in your wedding day, it was incredible!!
