Peter & Meghan:: St. John’s Abbey Wedding

With a shared love of music and both freshman at College of St. Ben’s and St. John’s University, Peter and Meghan met at a choir festival.  As they traveled around together they also found that they loved the outdoors, cooking, and camping.  The two grew in their friendship as they traveled around to various cities and states.  They also trained for full and half marathons together and eventually started dating.

On August 4th, Peter took Meghan to St. John’s University’s campus for a scenic walk around Lake Sagatagon and headed toward the beautiful chapel at the end of the path.  Meghan thought this might be the moment that she has anticipated for months as they strolled along chatting about various topics, but much to her disappointment, Peter did not ask. As the two headed back to the main campus, Megan figured the great question would come at a later day. But then Peter stopped, and Megan’s heart skipped a beat.  They were standing at the location where Meghan had first told Peter she loved him.  He wanted to continue their story of love in the same place, starting the next chapter of their lives together where the first chapter began, and asked Megan to be his wife.

Continuing on with the love of CSB/SJU Alum’s, the two decided it would be perfectly fitting to be married in the Abbey on campus.  It was a gorgeous day for a beautiful couple!  Peter and Megan, thank you for allowing me into capturing this amazing day.  Best wishes to you both as you continue your lives forward!
