Minneapolis wedding:: Sarah and Chris

Sarah and Chris met years ago in college but didn’t know each other well. They were reacquainted last year through Sarah‘s cousin who was a good friend of Chris’s as well. When Chris inquired about Sarah and called her up out of the blue, she agreed to go out on a date with him. They dated mostly during the COVID-19 pandemic. Just a month into when they started dating, most things shut down so it affected what they were able to do with their time together for the next year. This resulted in lots of walks, take-out, together and lots of nights in talking to each other.

After about a year of dating and unbeknownst to Sarah, Chris ordered an engagement ring for her and picked it up from the jeweler on a Friday night in November. He and Sarah had planned to spend the following day together and in standard Chris-like fashion, that ring was burning a hole in his pocket and he was eager to pop the question.

Chris arrived at Sarah‘s home Saturday morning and in standard Sarah-like fashion, she was still getting ready for the day. Chris left her to finish getting ready but it wasn’t long before he thought to himself, “there’s no time like the present”, so he returned walking up to Sarah while she was drying her hair knelt down on one knee with that ring in his hand, and asked her to marry him. Right then and there she said yes, half way dry hair and all!!

The couple decided to keep their wedding small and intimate by only inviting close friends and family members. They were wed at Southeast Christian Church in south Minneapolis, only a block away from Sarah’s house. Sarah‘s Watters dress from the Wedding Shoppe looked stunning on her while her bridesmaids wore beautiful Megan spice velvet wrap maxi dresses from Baltic Born. The flower girl wore a dress created by Sarah‘s mother. Chris and his groomsmen sported gray Michael Kors suits from J Long‘s in Mankato. Rings from the Williams Diamond Center and Buchkosky Jewelers paired perfectly with the bouquets of flowers that friends and family put together for Sarah and Chris. Tongue-in-cheek brought in some incredible food for guests while Sarah Jane’s Bakery brought sweet treats to top off the meal. Sarah, an incredible baker herself, made their wedding cake and served it to all her guests. The wooden bowls on each table were brought in from both Chris and Sarah’s family’s to bring the day perfectly together. It was a perfect day had by all, Chris and Sarah, congratulations.
