Elora- Minneapolis newborn

My stomach did somersaults as I read the text, and then tears came.  ” Sarah went into labor last night…”  It was the only time I can remember not wanting a baby to be born.  At 27 weeks and only 1 pound 7 ounces, Elora (meaning God is light) came into the world.  At first everything seemed ok, then another e-mail came a few days later stating that she was bleeding in her brain which could leave her without the use of her limbs or that she would not even make it at all.  As brand new parents, Sarah and her husband were devastated.  What did God hold for their future?

After a few weeks, a lot of prayer and a complete miracle, God stopped the bleeding in this baby’s brain, leaving NO damage.  Throughout other ups and downs, Elora graduated a few weeks ago from Children’s NICU to the ICC and is now a whopping 5 lbs, 5 oz, and will hopefully be heading home around her due date.  This child is a true and complete miracle, and I was so happy to be able to document her at this tiny stage of life.

Sarah you are an amazing mommy.  I can’t wait to see what God’s plans are for this precious little girl.  xoxo
