A Year in Review: 2016 weddings

This past year was wonderful for me.  It sums up the 14th (yes 14th!!) of business for me.  I still can not believe that I am daily doing what I love and getting paid to do it.  Photography has been such a great fit for me and I am so very thankful for another year in the books.  2016 was full of beautiful brides and grooms, a trip to Chicago, one on the North Shore, and photographing one of our long time baby-sitters and good friends.  I was at bans and country clubs, and some wonderfully unique venues along the way.  It was about whole heartily connecting to my clients and honoring their photography requests and needs.  Thank you, thank you.  It was a blessed year and I am so very lucky to have been included in many lives and huge events!

January started off with my first wedding of our long time baby-sitter and friend Brittany and Daniel.

Then came April where I met the sweet and kind Tom and Cassie and shot at the beautiful 413 on Wacouta on a gorgeous April day!

May crept on in and on a rainy Memorial Day weekend I celebrated with Kristen and Jake (and met some extremely kind and wonderful people there!)

June rolled in and I was in Excelsior at Bayview (one of my very favorite places to shoot) on one extremely hot day with Taylor and Jenna!

I vacationed in July with my family and then hit it hard in August with a quaint and small ceremony with horses (eek) with Jamie and Kenny in their backyard ceremony and reception.

And Hannah and Michael who had one spectacular summer afternoon!

Fall crept in and I spent Labor Day weekend in St. Cloud with kind and beautiful, Jenny and Matt.

Kelsie and Corey’s beautiful September day was one to remember and heartfelt for me as Kelsie and I have know each other since she was a child.  It was touching to see her marry such a kind and wonderful man!

September ended with a trip to Chicago to photograph Laura and Dan’s oh so amazing wedding.  Every detail in this wedding had me wishing for more time to style and spend time with this kind couple. We also got to reconnect with college friends and time with friends from the area.

October started with a trip up to Grandview to photograph a couple that I know I will be life long friends with.  Alison and Bryan’s wedding day was all they dreamed it to be set on One of Minnesota’s lakes and incredibly beautiful.

The next day I was back in the Cities to shoot a beautiful Vow Renewal and Reception of Camilo and Jenna.

The last wedding of 2016 ended on such a high note when finding a forrest close to the reception area filled with yellow maples.  Completely gorgeous to photograph Nicole and Cole.

Thank you to all the couples, families, friends, and vendors who participated in each day.  It was such an honor to get to know all of you and I look forward to connecting soon.  Stay for the rest of the week when I highlight those 2016 newborns and families I also love so very much!
