In Lawrance, Kansas neither knew that the future awaited them. Stacy and Tyler had dozens of mutual friends and their paths had probably crossed multiple times, but it was this night at Brothers that the two actually saw one another for the first time. The two chatted easily about their love for the outdoors and being active with camping, biking and grilling. They laughed easily with each other and shared in their mutual respect and dedication to their university, KU.
After dating for a few years, they to moved back to Stacy’s hometown of Minneapolis, bought a house (and adopted some cute cats) and made a home together.
The two loved traveling and on one trip of a lifetime to Thailand, Tyler knew this was the moment he had waited for. The beach setting was as romantic as it ever would be and as Tyler hurried Stacy into a private location to watch the sunset and as he did, the ring came out with a question and a resounding YES by Stacy, and a lot of cheering made by some local and touring on-lookers!
Their wedding day was full of beauty and many emotions. Combining their love for the outdoors and the Kansas state flower (the sunflower), the two celebrated in modern style at the amazing American Swedish Institute with close family and friends. After a year of battling cancer, the Wednesday before her wedding, Stacey’s father got the cancer -free call which was even more reason for the family to celebrate. Stacy and Tyler were also serenaded alone in a courtyard by a musician where they shared one of their first dances, and both surprised each other with gifts that meant so much to the other.
Best of luck to both of you, thank you for allowing me to share in your beautiful day!! You are both amazing people!!

As mother of the bride, I cannot wait to see more pictures. Stacy looked like a picture straight from Modern Bride magazine. Couldn’t be more pleased with her photographer.

These pictures are lovely – every single one of them – but the final one is my favorite. I am actually seeing things I missed at the time, and as the mother of the groom, it is exciting to see them now!
