Details. They are one of my very favorite things to photograph on a wedding day. They are the pieces that make the wedding so unique and so particular to each bride and groom. Personality shines through the jewelry, programs and invitations, the cake decor, to the drinks themselves. Tess and Luc thought of them all.
I was privileged enough to shoot and assist for my good friend and co-worker, Elena Melling. Though we are typically in different roles, I couldn’t help but get all giddy knowing that I was to play a different part at this wedding. It was so good for me to see through the eyes of an assistant and to see her shine!
I believe every photographer should constantly be challenging him or herself into roles that they do not typically play on the wedding day. A brand new perspective come out and the details of the day can come shining through.
Both got ready at the Rosewood Inn, and bed and breakfast in Hastings. So elegant and peaceful.I have to preface this photo before you take a look. Luc and Tess met in a Rockcliming club. Their topper was one of the most unique I have seen, I adored it!
Their ceremony and reception was held at Shaar’s Bluff in Hastings. It is a beautiful location for an outdoor wedding and the reception site was stunning as well.
After the ceremony was complete, we headed over to the Lemonade stand for some much needed lemonade and lawn games. More photos to come tomorrow.
